CMP Austrian Rock-Ola

The Big White Truck recently delivered my Rock-Ola from CMP. I'm pretty pleased. Barrel appears original to receiver with 1.5 MW and it looks nice overall. It's lacking some Rock-Ola parts, but I made out well overall.

I like the history behind the rifle. It was lent to Austria along with somewhere between 12,600-24,500 others. Mine is marked LGK oo on the floorplate which stands for Landes Gendarmerie Kommando OberoÖsterreich (Gendarmerie Command for the Land of Upper Austria). This rifle was issued to Austrian Police and served in the area bordering Czechoslovakia. The Austrians took good care of this war baby.

One of my friends has a carbine that has a Bavarian Forrestry Dept. crest on it. The nice part about a rifle like this is you know it was actually there during the war. Carbines sure are fun to shoot.
