M1 Garand
This is an arsenal built M1. The receiver is serial # 369728, made in october 1941 by Springfield. The barrel, 1950 NM and the stock have been replaced, the rest of the parts seem to be original.

Yes, the Thompson is fully functional, but I only have her on a collectors permit, so there is no legal way I can shoot her.

I have a metal tube oiler very similiar or perhaps the same as the one you show in your 1st picture (Belgium trip). Do you perhaps know what gun this is for?

It's the early version of the oiler for the M1 .30 Rifle. Below it is the plastic oiler that replaced it later in WWII.
