My first Russian style pistol, although nothing special about it......it sure shoots accurately. Thought I would never figure out how to take off the grips for the initial cleaning. Geez now I may need to get a CZ.

The grips come off easily. Remove the mag and when you look inside the mag well, you will see the back of the grips. There is a bar that will rotate to 6 oclock and the grip will come off. I use a screw driver .I believe the rotation is counter clockwise.Take care, BB
Mills you MUST get a CZ! You will not be disappointed - loudest darn pistol you will ever shoot. They only have two drawbacks - #1 Never use the de-cocker as it does not work. And #2 Never dry fire it. The pin can and will break but there are many different replacement firing pins including competition pins.
Jason which CZ do you have??? Thanks for the tips as well. D
Mills, I have a 52 & a 27.
Ok I will be on the lookout for one of the loud onesss!!!! CZ52.
Jason, What should I look for in a CZ. From what I have found the originals were a light phosphate, not blued---what is the chance of finding one with original finish and not hot dipped blue
Mills, Most CZ's floating around out there are phosphated. The butt ugly blued finish seems to be a new import occurrence. Up until a few years ago I had never seen a blued CZ. And now they are slapping the import info on the side of the slide instead of the underside of the frame - yuk.
Ok, Great if I search I can still find one with the original finish. Thanks for your help....
BTW. the new to me, TTC has the ugly CAI import marks on the side of the slide which I hate, however it looks like it might be the original finish--good to know that perhaps if I look HARD I can maybe find a CZ52 with orig finish and import on the bottom.
