Postwar German Paratrooper Knife

I was looking at these on the internet. Are there commercial versions or are they all military? How can I tell? I see that SOG has LL80 versions with the OTK factory marking on them. Are these original Bundeswehr?

When I lived there, in the '70s, they were available in surplus stores. The BW ones had a bigger, green plastic handle. They were stout knives. Looks like you may need to do some research if you want a BW one.

Where should I start researching? I looked all over the internet and couldn't find much other than a few people I don't know on internet forums.
