    Nothing special.
    At one time guys thought that the E/H marked contract rifles were for in-country use.
    Not..

    Most of the diverted rifles were late in the contract.

    The E/H simply means that the rifles were assembled/completed in 1941 and early in 1942.
    Most of the contract was completed in 1942 after the stock acceptance was simplified to just the WaA135 stock side acceptance stamp.

    The things we have learned in the last 20 years....

    The M1941 contract rifles are a really good snapshot of the changes that occurred in the 1941-1942 period, not just at Mauser but the entire K98k
    supply system.
