    This is a fellow who has sold guns from Bob Jensens collection. The paint accent is similar to other highlighted “Backbone” rifles. I don’t know much about these but they are harder to find laminated are they not?

    I think the laminate were only found on jhv 44's and were the predominant stock type for that year. There might be a few laminated jhv 43's but I've never seen one. Production was likely the lowest for the G98/40 in 1944, but owing to their later production, they were more likely to survive and, as a result, they are not uncommon.
