Where the hell do these people come from... this guy probably knows Bob Jensen, this is probably one of Bob's rifles, yet this ninny describes the EWB as "early nazi police" in Bavaria, - this is even more absurd and ridiculous than Larry's Belgian claims. The EW was a militia, nation wide, every state possessed one, except in the Rhineland of course. Like all militias they were typically a reflection of the community they were drawn from, in Bavaria they were farmers and small town folks, vast majority catholic, - most had a great fear and hatred of communists or socialism in general. In large cities they were more "democratic" or socialist... this was a state (German central government) supported organization, funded and armed by the central government and often financially supported by the individual German states (especially in Bavaria and the east facing Poland).

One thing is an absolute certainty in the make up, - the communists and "early" National Socialists (nazis) had no role in the organization (what a laugh.. Hitler's thugs were part of the police in 1920!), especially in the EWB whose leadership despised National Socialism and called them Nationalistic Bolshevist's; no paramilitary organization associated itself with the EWB, the EWB leadership had plans of their own beyond normalization of law and order and largely envisioned Bavarian independence and possibly a union with parts of catholic Austria. A few important future "nazis" did participate in the EWB as militiamen, Himmler and Hess I believe, but they were nothing in 1920, so too was Hitler, who was little more than sewage splatter on Georg Escherich boots (a monarchist and far right conservative, - and no nazi is a far right conservative of the 19th century view, most men of the 19th century would have a difficult time distinguishing a nazi from a communist)

The seller “NickyBoy” has been peddling Bobs rifles recently. I have seen several in the last year. Sounds as if dimentia may have set in. Bob must be in his mid 80’s now. He could lay it on thick even 10 years ago.

Jensen claims to have sold all his collection //// NickyBoy may have purchased some of them..... And yes, Jensen is at least 10 years older than I am.....Bob's Dad needed custodial care because of dementia years ago. It may well be a factor.
