    Default ELITE III

Manufactured by Steyr in 1945, it is the epitome of the Steyr Kriegsmodel. Entirely correct with all-matching serial numbers, all parts are factory-original. Gorgeous, both metal and wood retain near perfect original finish, displaying crisp Nazi-eagle firing and acceptance proofs and waffenamt inspection stamps. Oozing with raw efficient beauty,

not sure this is the rifle.... but a pretty good collector had a bnz 45 at MAX (2016), and the rifle had a plaque nailed into the butt stock. The gun was nice/ interesting.... and I wonder if this is it (with the controversial plaque removed). Clearly, left side has nail holes and a square shadow ....

I like this one, are all the serials and stamps ok?

IMHO, anything Elite has touched is extremely suspect....

    Description for Item # 514269786

Here we have a fairly late war BNZ45 K98K that also has a tough to find stock find stock variation, often known as "Pinstripe" or "Experimental Laminate", as described on page 215 of "Kriegsmodel" by Steve and Karem. The rifle overall is in excellent plus condition, the bore is bright and shiny. Bluing on this piece rates around 85%, showing just a little patina here and there, as shown in the pictures. The barrel band screws on tis example show very little "Buggering" from being abused by improper screwdrivers/operators...which is nice to see. The stock on this example is beatifull, just how we like to find them, rough and dry with some dirt on it from handling over the years. It has not been sanded or cleaned. Tough to find like this. There is a unique plaque added to the rear of the stock. Unknown why it is there, and it was suggetsed that the rifle was used immediately post war in the local police departments (US Military run), just a guess though. A rather unique piece of history for this rifle. I will let the pictures describe the rest. If you need any more pictures or information, please do not hesitate to ask. I will do my best to help. Thank you for looking.

Cool plaque. Not sure why Elite felt a need to remove it....
