    Default My Apologies

Sorry for not being active on the site for the last 18 days.

We have been on the road to Reno Nevada and back.

My wife's younger brother was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer that has metastasized to the left frontal lobe of his brain.

He under goes surgery on Monday to remove as much as possible. The cancer has resulted in the loss of movement on the left side of his body.

Doctors give him 3 weeks to 4 months to live.

No need for apologies Dave. I was hoping the news would be better like you'd been on vacation. So sorry to hear about that.

    Life IS short.

It seems lately we spend a lot of time going to funerals, and saying good bye.

Cancer is so damned prevalent today......

My Brother in Law has died of complications of stage 4 Lung cancer , after a battle that lasted from his hospital admittance in September.

The cancer was literally everywhere, and nothing could be done.

The morphine made his passing peaceful, and resulted in non reversible cardiac arrest as the amount being given to reduce pain kept having to be increased.

His remains are to be cremated and spread in a mountain stream he often fished.

2 - 3 packs of cigarettes a day for over 45 years, as well as alcohol abuse, finally caught up with him just as he turned 67.

My wife has taken his death very hard.
