    Default Krag Ammo

Does anyone know where I can buy some 30-40 Krag ammo that is suitable to be fired out of my 1898 Krag? My gunsmith told me the modern stuff could probably be safely fired from the action, however I would risk cracking the stock. I have some Remington Core Lokt which he did not recommend. I am looking for something comparable to the original US Army load. Thanks.

American made 30/40 krag is perfectly safe in your firearm. crack the stock ?????? Hell no......

I shoot Remington 30/40 krag 180 grain all the time.

Current commercial offerings are well under the safe pressure limits for these rifles
