Question Relaxed to Readiness Rifle Move?

    Hi there,
A group I'm working with is creating some animations of some WWII soldiers patrolling as well as in a relaxed state, both needing to move from the previous state to a state of readiness. Do any of you have footage or knowledge of how a soldier who has a rifle (Garand, Springfield, etc.) slung over his back would move into that state of readiness?
We had a military consultant come in to give us some options, but they felt a little bit too modern and more akin to something you'd see in a film about today's commandos.

    I hope I'm making sense.

    Thanks,
    Alec

    Thumbs up

Wow! That's such a treasure trove. Thank you for the reply, Dave.
I'll go through those manuals in detail and pull out the details that will help us maintain a greater sense of authenticity.

    Thanks again,
    Alec
