    Default Mauser HSc non-gun

Can anyone provide any information on this Mauser HSc non-gun? Considering the expense in tooling,
molds and carton printing, this must have had a purpose other than a toy.
Notice the misspelling of Oberndorf as Oberndort.

Ownership of live weapons are prohibited in Japan, so an industry sprang up that produced realistic non guns for the collector in Japan. This grew and was introduced into America and europe in the late 1960s. Non guns are big business today.
