Browning initially manufactured firearms through Colt, Winchester, and Marlin. He was a smart man. Our modern society owes him a debt of gratitude. His boy fought Huns with his father's invention during the Great War. I'm not sure, but I'd imagine that any factory J. Browning owned in 1917 could not keep up with the slaughter in Europe. Hence the big manufacturers step in.

    Thumbs up

BARs are fun. Both of mine are Royal Typewriter made in 1953. I have a WW 2 flash hider on one for display purposes. Some day I'll pick up a WW 2 made BAR.
